Paula Jean Shaw, 64-year-old Sherman resident passed away Sunday, August 14, 2022, at Wilson N. Jones Regional Hospital in Sherman.

Paula was born born December 10, 1957, in Denison, Texas. She was the daughter of Fred and Ruby Jewel (Hintz) Pipkin. She was a graduate of Denison High School in 1976.

She married the love of her life David Shaw, March 18, 1979, at Mount Pleasant Baptist Church in Denison. Paula had a career in accounting, working most recently at Caterpillar/ Reedrill. Prior to that, she had worked for Comp USA and Old America Pottery.

Paula was an amazing woman and loved unconditionally with all her heart. She will be missed by her family and many friends who loved and cared for her deeply.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Ruby Pipkin; brothers, Michael Pipkin and Freddie Pipkin; and mother-in-law, Betty Shaw.

Paula is survived by her husband, David Shaw; son, Michael Shaw and his wife, Patti; daughters, Melissa Shaw and Makayla Shaw; grandchildren, Avery Shaw, Kayla Burt, and Cory Burt; sisters, Linda John, Diana Sikes and her husband, Mike, Debbie Shearer and her husband Mike, Joahna Spillers and her husband, Chet; father-in-law, David Shaw; sister-in-law, Sharon Henry and her husband Otis; and her dog, Sadi Marie.

The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 pm, Wednesday evening, August 17, at Waldo Funeral Home.

A graveside funeral service will be held 10 am, Thursday, August 18, at West Hill Cemetery in Sherman. Rev. Raymond Foster of Unity Missionary Church in Denison will officiate.
