1950-2023

Paul Adrian Montgomery, 72 years old, of Sherm an, passed away Thursday, February 16, 2023, to be with his Lord and Savior.

Paul was born July 9, 1950 in Trenton, Texas, a son of Bennie Ray and Eliza Marie Lilly (Chapman) Montgomery.

He was retired but had worked as a security guard for Lester Pharmaceuticals for many years.

When he was younger Paul was very active, playing softball and he played many games at the T-Bar fields in Denison. He enjoyed playing his keyboard, watching old westerns, and reading western novels.

Paul is survived by his wife Jan of Sherman; son Brad Montgomery and wife Tammy of Whitewright; grandchildren, Brianne, Kaylee and Kaleb, all of Whitewright, the love of his life, great granddaughter, Lexi Elaine of Whitewright;Brother-in-law and sisterin- law, Ricky and Elaine “Peeps” Hamby of Cleveland, Ga. and many nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters.

He is also survived by his special bonus family, Jody Papay and her husband Max of New Jersey, Misty Moore of Collinsville, Art Papay of Corpus Christi, Tx, step great grandson, Gage Lee Moore, serving the US Army based in Fort Campbell, Kentucky.

Last but not least, Paul is survived by his special little four-legged buddy, Rocco Milo.

A memorial service will be held to celebrate his life, 5:30 pm, Wednesday, February 22, at Waldo Funeral Home Chapel in Sherman. Rev. Ron Ruppel, of Share Ministries will officiate.
