Patsy Henderson Robbins

Patsy Henderson Robb ins passed away peacefully into the arms of Jesus on Thursday January 12, 2023. She was born on July 16, 1937 in Dallas and was the daughter of Pratt and Bernice McCord.

Patsy graduated from Ferris High School and afterwards attended Kilgore College where she was a member of the nationally acclaimed Kilgore College Rangerettes Drill Team. She married her husband Perry Gene Henderson in Kilgore on June 8, 1957 and had three loving daughters Pamela, Patty and Penny. Perry passed away at an early age of 44 in 1976.

Patsy met and married William E. “Bill” Robbins in 1979 and they both enjoyed traveling the world together during their 44 years of marriage. She was a member of the North Park Baptist Church where she loved spending time with her Sunday School Class members. She also volunteered as a “Pink Lady” for 17 years at Wilson N. Jones Hospital.

Patsy was known as “Mena” by her 12 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren who she always loved seeing walk through her door and spending time with.

She is preceded in death by her husband Perry Gene Henderson, her parents, a sister Lura Bell (McCord) Black and her husband Robert “Bob” Black along with their son Michael Black. She will be greatly missed by those she left behind.

Patsy is survived by her husband, William “Bill” Robbins, daughter Pamela Cardenas Henderson and her two sons Major Austin Cardenas; Andrew and his wife Emily Cardenas along with their children Sawyer and Andrew Jr; daughter Patty Riddels and her husband Cameron and their three sons; Garrett and his wife Jamie and their two children Caden and Ava; Gaylon and his wife Cassidey and their three children Sloane, Wyatt and Cameron; Grayson and his wife Samantha and their two children Grisham and Callen; Penny Spracklen and her husband Paul and their two sons Zane and his wife Susie Burkhalter and their two children Jake and Rylee; and Zachery Spracklen. She is also survived by a niece Rebecca Black Wingfield and nephew Robert Pratt Black and three stepchildren Bill Robbins and his wife Mary Ann and their five children Brandy Garza and her husband Juan and their two children Via and Tres; Susie, Katie, Allie and Angie; Bob Robbins and his wife Eugenia and Sally Robbins.

On Monday, January 16, there will be a graveside service at Cedarlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, 5805 Texoma Parkway, Sherman, TX 75090 at 11:00 a.m. celebrating the life of Patsy. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to North Park Baptist Church, 2605 Rex Cruse Dr., Sherman, TX 75092.
