Sherman - Vivian Elizabeth Sanderson Burgoon was born to Ollie & Jane Sanderson on June 13, 1940 in Springfield, MO. She passed away on Thanksgiving day (November 25, 2021) in Sherman, TX.

Vivian is survived by her 5 children, Kevin Gillaspia (and Irina) of Gallatin, TN, Dawn Blair (and Larry) missionary serving in Europe, Mark Gillaspia of Bergheim, TX, Eric Gillaspia of San Antonio, TX, and Katie Burgoon Long (and Andrew) of Watertown, NY, 10 grandchildren, and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings Eddie Sanderson of Shreveport, LA, Carl Sanderson of Dallas, TX, Marilynn Rivas of San Antonio, TX, and Janet Sanderson of Coalinga, CA as well as many cousins and nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, Ollie & Jane Sanderson, her siblings Richard, Susan, and Stephen, her beloved husband of 38 years, Ted Burgoon, and her daughter-in-law, Anna Gillaspia.

A Service of Witness to the Resurrection of Jesus Christ and in Celebration of the life of Vivian will be held at Covenant Presbyterian Church (322 W Pecan St) in Sherman, TX on Saturday, January 22nd at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial gifts be made to Family Promise of Grayson County, care of Covenant Presbyterian Church.
