Richard Allen Taylor

Richard went to be with his Savior on April 26, 2021 after a series of strokes at age 65. He was born on February 22, 1955 in Mt. Pleasant, Texas. The family moved to Denison in 1962 were he attended Denison schools and although he moved away a few times he always wound up back here near his friends and family. He gave his life to Jesus at an early age and was baptized at Calvary Baptist Church in Denison, Tx.

He was a caring and gentle person who loved his God, Family, Friends and Country and he was always there for anyone who needed his help anyway he could. He was an avid reader who spent a lot of time late at night with his Mom discussing their latest thriller. She will always miss that, it was special.

He is preceded in death by his beloved Granny Trudy Dill, his Dad Carlton Nelson, his Brother Ricky Nelson, his Uncle Jackie McRae, and his longtime Friend and Partner Paul Randall.

He is survived by his Mother Peggy Nelson, Daughter Brandi Taylor and Grandson Landon and Granddaughter Emily, Son Allen Taylor and Wife Leslie and Grandson Jackson and Granddaughter Emery, Sister Wanda Wible, Brother Robert Taylor and Wife Deborah, Brother Michael Nelson and Wife Cathy, Uncle Billy and Aunt Helen all from Texas. Brothers Ronald Nelson and Joe Nelson, Sisters Sandra Harwood, Gail Hendrickson, Kim Herzberg, Karla Beers and their families all of Wisconsin. Also, longtime family friend Johnny Palya of Sherman.

There will be a celebration of Life on Tuesday evening November 23rd, 2021 between 5PM-6PM for Friends and Family at Fisher funeral home in Denison Texas.
