Denison - Mother's Day May 9, 1959, Nelda Jane Gardner was born, in Denison, Tx She left this world on June 12,2021. Nelda graduated from Denison High School, Class of 1977. She then attended Grayson County College where she earned a degree in drafting. Nelda had a natural eye for detail and was truly a gifted artist. In 1992, she graduated from The Art Institute of Dallas, taking her artistic abilities to the next level. You could see it evidenced of it her surroundings, the clothes she wore and the boldness of her life. Her favorite color was the color royalty-purple

Nelda married the love of her life Brian Cooper they worked and traveled together. Nelda loved the excitement and the traveling with her sweet Brian only to lose him to a brain injury.

Nelda fought a fierce fight against the breast cancer and survived. What was born from her victory was a renewal of personal strength and resourcefulness. She followed her heart into an adventurous life.

Nelda was an avid supporter of the Dallas Cowboys! Nelda loved Music and having fun, but she was inclined to be soft hearted, she devoted herself to assisting with many regional animal shelters with find forever homes for many dogs. Nelda was a woman with a heart of gold and of love give. Nelda interests and talents were vast and varied, as were her careers. Nelda was a dedicated and dependable employee. Her most recent employment was with the bakery at Albertson's in Denison, Texas.

Nelda was proceeded by her husband, Brian Cooper; her parents Catherine and William (Bill) Gardner: Grandparents, Olive and Frank Hart and beloved fur baby Kid Roxy. Left to honor her memory are her son, Christopher Gardner (Allison Cole), sister Linda Jeffers (Jeff), brothers Harold (Peggy) Wayne (Charlotte), mother in-law Barbara Cooper, Sister in-law Vicky Cooper. Nelda also leaves beloved Aunts and Uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews. A memorial service in Nelda's honor will be at the REFUGE CHURCH 2223 W Morton St. Denison, TX September 18,2021at 2:30 The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials made to the Refuge Church in her Name.
