Leo George Scheidt
Leo George Scheidt was born July 25, 1934 and passed June 9, 2021 at the age of 86. Born in Minnesota, Leo graduated in 1952 from Mound High School in Minnetrista, MN. He served in the Army from 1957-1959, then married Billie Ann Krumrie on May 1,1959.
Leo and Billie spent 62 years of marriage raising 3 kids, traveling all over the US and helping others. Leo had an incredible passion for woodwork; he made crosses for all the church members of Trinity Lutheran Church and made all types of wood decorations for the yearly church Christmas bazaar. Whether it was grandchild, niece, nephew or cousin, when a child was born to a member of the church, Leo made special, personalized "Child of God" signs for each child. He never accepted any payment for the gifts he provided; he blessed others with the gifts God had given him.
Leo also gave countless hours of his time to his community. He volunteered at the local soup kitchen, food pantry and thrift store. Leo was a tireless worker, he gave hours of his time helping a Juliette Girl Scout earn her Silver award. He built ramps with the Texoma Ramp Project. Leo made memorial boxes for the Sherman hospitals, and spent months on church renovations.
Survived by wife Billie Scheidt, children Gary and Brenda Scheidt, Bruce Scheidt and Brenda Celsur, grandchildren Mandy and Jason Rabe, Dr. Jeremy Scheidt, Jason Scheidt, Jesse and Taylor Patzig, Clay Celsur and great-grandchildren Gracie, Rylie, Hayden and Chloe Rabe. Leo was a smiling face and blessing to everyone he met. He will be truly missed.
