POTTSBORO — The Pottsboro Independent School District board of trustees will be considering a proposed tax rate to support the 2015-16 budget. The board will also review the first draft of the 2015-16 budget.

POTTSBORO — The Pottsboro Independent School District board of trustees will be considering a proposed tax rate to support the 2015-16 budget. The board will also review the first draft of the 2015-16 budget.


The board will schedule the public hearings on Aug. 17 at next month’s board meeting. During the discussion of the proposed tax rate, the board will consider the district’s financial integrity report.


The board will also discuss the district’s professional development and appraisal system for the 2015-16 school year. The professional development and appraisal system outline the timeline for conducting teacher appraisals.


Other items on the agenda include considering the approval of the 2015-16 student code of conduct and review the 2015-16 campus handbooks. Pottsboro ISD administration will share reports concerning annual compensation and bus maintenance.


The regular meeting will be 5:45 p.m. in the Conference Room of the Pottsboro ISD Administration Building, located at 105 Cardinal Lane.
