Assault — Police responded to an assault Monday in the 400 block of Utah Street. A woman said her boyfriend had assaulted her and then forced her into a car. The man then drove down the street and threatened to run her over if she got out of the car. When the woman tried to escape, the man choked her. Police arrested the man for assault and kidnapping.


Assault — On Friday officers responded to an assault in the 400 block of E. Cherry Street. A man at the location said someone he did not know had punched him. Officers made a report for assault.


Assault — An officer responded to an assault Friday in the 200 block of S. Rusk Street. A man said that another man had slapped him on the arm and back. He did not wish to file charges.


Possession of a controlled substance — An officer conducted a traffic stop Friday in the 2000 block of N. Heritage Parkway. The officer later determined that the suspect discarded prescription pills, narcotics, and paraphernalia in an attempt to avoid arrest. The suspect will be filed on at large for possession of a controlled substance and tampering with evidence.


Possession of a controlled substance — On Friday, an officer arrested a person with an outstanding warrant in the 2400 block of Texoma Parkway. The person was in possession of drug paraphernalia with narcotic residue on it. The suspect will be filed on at large for possession of a controlled substance.


Theft — A woman went Friday to the Sherman Police Department to report a theft. She said that Friday afternoon she had parked her motorcycle in the 100 block of Sunset Boulevard. At the time, she had her cellphone in her lap. She drove out of the parking lot and forgot her phone was still in her lap. She believes her cellphone fell out of her lap while driving. The woman returned to the parking lot when she realized she was no longer in possession of her cellphone, and could not find it. Police made a report for theft.


Assault — Officers responded to an assault Friday in the 700 block of E. Taylor Street. A woman at the location had assaulted her boyfriend by punching him. When he attempted to leave, the woman bit him in the face and arm. The victim had many signs of assault on his body. The officers arrested the woman for assault causes bodily injury.


Assault — Police responded Friday to the 100 block of E. Wilson Avenue regarding an assault. A woman said that she and her sister had been assaulted by her husband. Both victims had injuries consistent to being assaulted. The suspect had fled before police arrived, but police located him a short time later. Police arrested the man for assault causes bodily injury family member. They also found a controlled substance in the suspect’s pocket while searching him.


Theft — On Saturday an officer responded to a theft at a business in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway. Someone had stolen more than $80 worth of merchandise from the store. The officer made a report for theft.


Indecent exposure — An officer responded to a report of an assault Saturday in the 300 block of S. Travis Street. A woman said that a man touched her improperly and made inappropriate gestures toward her. The officer made a report for indecent exposure.


Criminal mischief — An officer responded Saturday to a disturbance in the 200 block of E. Centennial Street. Two women had arrived in a car to pick up a friend. The boyfriend of the woman they were picking up was mad that she was going out, so he punctured one of the car tires with a knife. The man had fled before officers arrived. The officer made a report for criminal mischief.


Possession of marijuana — An officer conducted a traffic stop Saturday in the 1500 block of W. Houston Street. The officer’s K-9 partner alerted on the car. The officer searched the car and found a small amount of marijuana. The driver and passenger will be filed on at large for possession of marijuana, less than two ounces.


Theft — Officers responded to a theft Saturday in at a business the 400 block of E. U.S. Highway 82. Employees had detained a woman for theft. The officers arrested the woman for the offense.


Criminal mischief — On Sunday an officer responded to a business alarm in the 2200 block of N. Heritage Parkway. The officer checked the building and determined that the alarm was false. While checking the building, the officer found that a window had a small hole in it. The officer made a report for criminal mischief.


Theft — An officer responded to a theft Sunday in the 900 block of S. Willow Street. A man said that his wheelchair and medications had been stolen from his front yard.


Assault — On Sunday, an officer spoke with several people about an incident that occurred in the 1900 block of S. East Street. A man said that he had been punched in the back of the head by another man. The officer made an offense report.


Assault — An officer responded to an assault Sunday in the 1900 block of S. East Street. A man said that he was sitting on his motorcycle when a suspect backed his truck into the motorcycle. The man got off the motorcycle, but the suspect continued to drag the motorcycle 100 feet. The man had a minor injury on his hand.
