Public intoxication — Saturday an officer saw three people feeling on foot from a car in the middle of the 1900 block of S. Mirick Avenue. The driver and the two passengers were all intoxicated. The officer arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated, and the two passengers for public intoxication.

Theft — Thursday police responded to a store in the 400 block of N. U.S. 75 regarding a theft. Store employees said that a man concealed items, left the store without paying and fled on foot. Police found the man at a business nearby and arrested him for theft and public intoxication.
Driving while intoxicated — An officer conducted a traffic stop Friday in the 1300 block of U.S. 68 after he saw a car weaving. The officer arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.
Theft — Friday police responded to a theft in the 1800 block of N. State Highway 91. The victim said she was at her friend’s house and left her cell phone at the house while she went to the store. When she returned, the phone was missing. The investigation will continue.
Theft — A victim told police Friday that an unknown person removed the tailgate from a truck parked in the 1900 block of W. Morton Street.
Criminal mischief — Police received a report Friday that an unknown person broke the windshield of a car in the 1200 block of W. Bond Street.
Assault — Police responded to an assault Friday in the 600 block of Trout Lane. The victim said that her boyfriend’s aunt had hit her in the head several times during an argument. Police arrested the woman for assault causing bodily injury (family violence).
Theft — Friday police responded to a theft at a store in the 400 block of N. U.S. 75. Store employees said that a woman took a purse off a shelf and concealed items in it. She then changed her shoes with shoes that were in the store and attempted to leave without paying for the items. Police arrested the woman for theft.
Driving while intoxicated — Saturday police received a call reporting an intoxicated person in a car at a business in the 1000 block of S. Austin Avenue. An officer saw the car and stopped it in the 300 block of W. Main Street. The officer arrested the driver for driving while intoxicated.
Burglary — Police responded to a burglary Saturday at a store in the 400 block of N. U.S. 75. Store employees said a man had taken items and attempted to leave without paying for them. The man had previously been issued a criminal trespass warning for all company property. Police arrested the man for burglary of a building.
Assault — On March 11 police responded to a disturbance in the 1200 block of Albert Broadfoot Street, according to police reports. When police arrived, the victim said the suspect had left before police arrived. The victim said she and her husband had been in a verbal altercation with her husband became physical by pushing her against the wall and throwing his helmet at her, striking her in the stomach. There were injuries on the victim that were consistent with her story. The officers issued a warrant for the suspect for assault causing bodily injury (family violence). The officers then arrested the suspect for the warrant.
Narcotics — On March 15 police responded to the 500 block of Bills Street regarding a suspicious vehicle. The officers found a car occupied by four people. The driver told police that they were just talking. Because the car was parked in a non-lit, secluded area, the officers had a K-9 search the car. The K-9 gave positive alerts, and the officers conducted a full search of the car. The officers found a glass pipe containing a crystal-like substance, which the officers suspected was methamphetamine. They also found a piece of aluminum foil with a burnt residue on it that had a strong odor of marijuana. The officers arrested the driver for possession of a controlled substance, and arrested the back seat passenger for possession of drug paraphernalia.
