COLBERT, Okla. — Two people were injured Tuesday in a wreck near Colbert, Oklahoma, one of whom had to be airlifted to a Texas hospital.

COLBERT, Okla. — Two people were injured Tuesday in a wreck near Colbert, Oklahoma, one of whom had to be airlifted to a Texas hospital.


Shortly before 1 p.m., a woman was driving a Suzuki with one passenger southbound on County Road Leavenworth, according to a statement from the Oklahoma Highway Patrol. The woman began to experience steering problems, drove off the road and struck a culvert.


The driver sustained leg, head and internal trunk injuries and was taken to Texoma Medical Center. She is listed in stable condition. The passenger had to be airlifted to the Medical Center of Plano due to head, arm and internal and external trunk injuries. He is also listed in stable condition, according to the OHP.


The OHP said the cause of the wreck was an "unsafe vehicle."
