In anticipation of heavy winter weather over the next few days and weekend, the Texoma Area Paratransit System has cancelled or abbreviated several of its service routes for Friday. This comes after TAPS closed several routes on Thursday.

On Thursday, TAPS cancelled Grayson College Viking Route 900 and suspended service of Viking Route 800 at 7 p.m. Similarly, service on the Austin College Roo Route was cancelled. Additionally, the Peterbilt route was also cancelled on Thursday, while the Red River Route suspended its service at 7 p.m.

For Friday, service on Viking Routes 600, 700, and 800 have been cancelled, while Route 900 will run as scheduled. TAPS also plans on cancelling the Southeastern Oklahoma State University, Red River, TexExpress and Raytheon Routes for Friday. Service is expected to resume on the Roo and Peterbilt routes.

In addition to its fixed routes, TAPS suspended on-demand service on Thursday. On-demand service is expected to remain suspended through Friday. Further plans have not been announced. For current route status updates, visit the TAPS route status page at
