A bank in the 2600 block of Loy Lake Road in Sherman was robbed Wednesday afternoon, and the suspect is still at large.

A bank in the 2600 block of Loy Lake Road in Sherman was robbed Wednesday afternoon, and the suspect is still at large.


Police responded to a robbery at 12:30 p.m. at First Texoma National Bank, said Sherman Police Sgt. D.M. Hampton. The suspect is described as a white man; 25 to 30 years old; 5 feet, 8 inches to 5 feet, 10 inches tall; and 240 pounds, according to a release from the Sherman PD. He can be seen in surveillance video pictures wearing a gray hat, a light blue shirt with a beer logo on it and blue shorts. He had a bandage on his right arm.


According to scanner radio traffic, the man did not use a weapon, but did take a large sum of money. He fled north on Loy Lake Road in a gray, four-door passenger car.


Police are still searching for the suspect.
