DURANT, Okla. — Southeastern Oklahoma State senior Danrich Kruger has been named a third-team CoSIDA Academic All-American selection.


He was named to the organization's at large team which includes the sports of tennis, golf, wrestling, lacrosse, swimming, men's volleyball, skiing and water polo.


Kruger, a biology major who is from Kempton Park, South Africa, is a three-year member of the Savage Storm men's tennis program after transferring from Eastern. He was part of a pair of GAC tournament championships in 2018 and 2019, a regular season title in 2018 and a berth in the NCAA Division II Central Regional in 2018.


For his efforts in 2018 he earned second team All-GAC recognition.


Also playing in the heart of the lineup he has tallied 20 wins across singles play, while racking up 29 doubles wins, including an 11-4 record with fellow senior Benjamin Finet in 2020 as the pair held the number one doubles position.
