The Sherman and Denison Police departments have released information related to crime reports received between Monday and Wednesday.


Sherman police publish their reports on the city’s website and Denison has a call log available for residents to view.


Here is a summary of reports taken by both departments.


Sherman Police


Burglary - On Monday a male complainant made telephone contact with an officer regarding a theft. The complainant stated an unknown suspect stole property from his unsecure vehicle at a residence located in the 100 block of West Belden Street in Sherman. A burglary of a vehicle BURGLARY OF VEHICLE (FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE) report was generated.


Theft - On Monday a male complainant made telephone contact with an officer regarding a theft. The complainant stated an unknown suspect stole property from a vehicle parked at a residence located in the 500 block of Glacier Drive in Sherman, Texas. A theft of property $2,500,$30K report was generated.


Burglary - On Monday, a male reporting party made telephone contact with an officer regarding a theft. The reporting party stated an unknown suspect made entry into a vehicle parked at a business located in the 2200 block of Hwy 75 in Sherman. The incident occurred sometime between Saturday and Sunday. A BURGLARY OF VEHICLE (FROM A MOTOR VEHICLE) report was generated.


Burglary - On Tuesday, a male complainant made telephone contact with an officer regarding a theft. The complainant stated an unknown suspect made entry into his vehicle and stole property. The vehicle was parked in a parking lot at a residence located in the 2700 block of South Travis Street in Sherman, Texas. A burglary of a vehicle report was generated


Criminal mischief - On Tuesday, a female complainant made contact with an officer regarding vandalism. The complainant stated an unknown suspect caused damage to her property located in the 500 block of North Andrews Avenue in Sherman Texas. The incident occurred between March and June. A criminal mischief $2,500

Theft - On Tuesday, Sherman Dispatch received a call in reference to a Theft. The reporting party advised an unknown suspect stole property from a business located in the 2500 block of Texoma Parkway in Sherman Texas. The incident occurred between May 25-27. A theft of property =$2,500,$30K report was generated.


Possession of a controlled substance - On Tuesday, an officer conducted a traffic stop at the 1200 block of Dewey Avenue Sherman. The operator of the suspect vehicle was identified and found to be in possession of under one gram of heroin. A report for possession of a controlled substance penalty group 1 was generated.


Public intoxication - On Tuesday, Sherman Police Dispatch received a call in reference to a homeless male in the 6100 block of N US 75 SB. The caller wished to issue a criminal trespass warning to the male from the property. Officers were dispatched to the location and determined the male was intoxicated. The male could not provide any further information and was arrested for public intoxication. A report was generated.


Denison police


Between midnight Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday, the Denison police received 95 calls for service, and 21 of those calls were received Wednesday morning.


Seventeen of those reports were for traffic stops. Fifteen of those calls were to report suspicious activity.


There was one assault call and three welfare check calls.


Three calls were for burglary alarms and two calls were documented as trespass calls.


There was one noise complaint and two animal complaints.


The call log also listed one missing person call and two calls related to possible suicides.
