The Denison Police Dispatch received 91 calls between midnight Tuesday and 8 a.m. Wednesday.
Six calls were regarding welfare checks. One call was related to a possible suicide and another was related to a suspected missing person’s report.
Sixteen of the reports taken were related to traffic stops.
There were also five animal calls and a few calls related to theft, disturbances and one possible sexual assault.
Assault - On Tuesday, Sherman dispatch received a report of multiple people physically fighting in the 4300 block of Hawk Ln. Officers located three people on scene with injuries, all 3 were involved in the physical altercation. One adult male was transported to Wilson N Jones Hospital to be treated for his non-life threatening injuries. A report was generated for Assault Causes Bodily Injury Family Member.
Driving while intoxicated - On Tuesday, Sherman Police Dispatch received a call referencing a vehicle that crashed into a yard in the 1800 block of S Montgomery St. The caller stated the driver and occupants of the vehicle were trying to leave the scene. Officers were dispatched to the location and spoke with involved parties. None of the occupants of the vehicle were injured. The driver was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Burglary - On Tuesday, a female complainant made telephone contact with an officer regarding a theft. The complainant reported an unknown suspect made entry into her vehicle while it was parked in the parking lot at a park, located in the 3200 block of Canyon Creek Drive in Sherman. The incident occurred on Saturday. A burglary of a vehicle report was generated.
Burglary - On Tuesday, a SPD officer was dispatched to a residence in the 600 block of E Rosedale Street in reference to a delayed report for a burglary of a residence. A victim said that days earlier she had seen her ex near her home and then discovered an item missing from her home. An offense report was completed.
Theft - On Tuesday, a female complainant made telephone contact with an officer regarding fraud. The complainant stated an unknown suspect made unauthorized charges on her debit card. The complainant resides in the 1400 block of Andy Drive in Sherman, Texas. The incident occurred on May 19. A credit or debit card abuse report was generated.
Possession of a controlled substance - On Tuesday, a Sherman Officer conducted a traffic near the cross streets of LaSalle and Normandy. The driver of the vehicle was found to be in possession of THC oil. The driver was placed under arrest and an offense report was generated for possession of a controlled substance between 1-4 grams..
Unauthorized use - On Tuesday, Sherman Police Department Dispatch received a call in reference to a stolen vehicle at the 1200 block of W Center Street Sherman. Sherman Police Department Patrol was dispatched and investigated the incident. A report for unauthorized use of a vehicle was generated
Unlawful possession - On Wednesday, Sherman Police Department Patrol conducted a traffic stop at the 2100 block of Texoma Parkway Sherman, Texas. The operator of the suspect vehicle was identified. The suspect was found to be in possession of a firearm. The suspect has previous felony convictions. The suspect was arrested for unlawful possession of a firearm by a felon and a report was generated.
