The Denison and Sherman Police departments have released information from their call logs and reports.
Both departments logged theft and assault reports as well as burglary and fraud reports.
The following reports were taken Monday and Tuesday and were released Tuesday morning.
The Denison Police Department received 85 calls for service between midnight Monday and 8 a.m. Tuesday. Of those calls 68 were received Monday and 17 were received Tuesday.
Within the call log released Tuesday, DPD classified about 15 calls as suspicious activity reports. There were six reports of erratic driving.
In the log, there were only four reports of theft from a building or vehicle. Police were asked to perform eight welfare checks, and there was one report of a possible suicide.
In the reports there were several disturbance, fight and assault reports.
Lastly, there were just two burglary alarm calls.
Burglary of a vehicle - On Monday, a complainant made telephone contact with an office regarding a theft. The complainant stated an unknown suspect made entry into his vehicle and stole property. The vehicle was parked in the parking lot of a residence located in the 1800 block of West Washington Street. A burglary of a vehicle report was generated.
Theft - On Monday, A male reporting party made telephone contact with an officer regarding a theft. The report party stated an unknown suspect stole property from a business located in the 100 block of West US Highway 82 in Sherman. The incident occurred on April 15 around 9 a.m.. A theft of property between $2,500-30K report was generated.
Assault - On May 18, a Sherman officer was dispatched to the Sherman PD lobby in reference to an assault that occurred two days earlier. The victim advised he was physically assaulted by an acquaintance in the 1200 block of East Chaffin on May 16. An investigation was completed and a report was generated for assault causing bodily injury.
Card abuse - On Monday, a female complainant made contact with an officer in the lobby of the Sherman Police Department regarding fraud. The complainant stated an unknown suspect made unauthorized charges to her account. The complainant resides at a residence located in the 100 block of West Burton Street in Sherman. The incident was discovered on Sunday. A credit card and debit card abuse report was generated.
Theft - On Monday, a male complainant made telephone contact with an officer regarding a theft. The complainant stated an unknown suspect stole property from his vehicle while it was parked at a business located in the 2800 block of North US 75 in Sherman Texas. The incident occurred on April 23 between 8-11 a.m. A theft of property under $100 report was generated.
Assault - On Monday, Sherman Police Dispatch received a call in reference to an assault that occurred in the 800 block of East Summit Street. Officers were dispatched to the location. The caller stated she was physically assaulted by her brother who had fled the scene. Officers arrived and gathered further information. The victim had visible minor injuries to her face and neck where she stated she was punched and choked. It was later learned the suspect was still on scene. The suspect was arrested for assault of a family or household member impeding breath or circulation and a report was generated
Assault - On Tuesday, Sherman Police Dispatch received a call in reference to a disturbance occurring in the 1000 block of South Walnut Street. The caller stated there was a female and male near a jeep in the middle of the road physically fighting. Officers were dispatched to the area and located the involved parties. The female had fled the scene prior to police arrival. The male involved sustained minor visible injuries. A report was generated for assault causes bodily injury to a family member.
