DURANT - All Choctaw casino locations, including the Choctaw Casino & Resort in Durant, are scheduled to resume operations on June 1, contingent upon key health indicators.
Increased health and safety measures will be in place, according to the Choctaw Nation of Oklahoma.
The reopening plan includes Casino Too travel plaza locations.
"We are putting all of the recommended safety measures in place to ensure that our casinos and businesses are ready for our guests when we open in the coming weeks. We are taking every precaution necessary to keep everyone safe," Chief Gary Batton said.
Sanitation wipes will be located throughout the gaming floor, and additional sanitation stations will be available around the properties.
Associates at the properties will be required to adhere to personal sanitation standards and wear wearing a face covering. Although they will be available, guests will not be required to wear masks.
Occupancy levels will be limited to protect the safety of Choctaw associates and guests, including at shops and restaurants as well as other amenities.
Meanwhile, table games will be limited to every other seat, and tables in play will be staggered.
Also, acrylic separation panels are set to be installed at transaction areas, and gaming positions will be reduced where necessary to promote safety.
