Area police departments have released reports taken over the last few days.
In the call log emailed by the Denison Police Department, on Wednesday and Thursday morning, the department received 94 calls for service. Of those calls, 17 were suspicious activity reports and about nine of those calls were hang ups.
There were less than five calls about disturbances and three burglary alarm calls.
The Sherman Police Department released seven reports taken between Tuesday and Wednesday.
Driving while intoxicated - On May 12, Sherman Police Dispatch received a call in reference to a possibly intoxicated driver in the 3600 block of south US Highway 75. Officers were dispatched to the area and located the driver, still in the vehicle, attempting to drive away. Through further investigation, it was determined the driver was intoxicated and he was arrested. A report was generated for driving while intoxicated third or more offense.
Assault - On May 12, Sherman Police Dispatch received a call in reference to an assault that occurred in the 2100 block of Peggy`s Cove. Officers were dispatched to the scene and gathered further information. The victim stated his wife had punched him in the face while he was sleeping. The victim had a minor injury to his face but his wife had fled the scene prior to police arrival. A report was generated for assault causes bodily injury family member.
Obstruction - On May 13, Sherman Police Dispatch received a call from the suspect complaining about a Handicap Parking Citation he received. The suspect stated he was going to find the person who wrote the citation and was going to assault them. A report was generated for obstruction or retaliation.
Burglary of a vehicle - On May 13, a female complainant stated an unknown suspect stole property from her vehicle which was parked at a residence located in the 2100 block of North Hoard Street in Sherman, Texas. The incident occurred between May 8-13. A burglary of a vehicle report was generated.
Assault - On May 13, an officer was dispatched to a residence in the 800 block South Vaden Street in reference to an adult male having physically assaulted an adult female. According to the female, her friend had pushed her down causing her pain. A report for assault causing bodily injury was generated.
Driving while intoxicated - On May 13, officers were dispatched to an intoxicated driver near North Loy Lake Road and La Salle Drive. Officer located the vehicle and driver. The driver showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for driving while intoxicated after further investigation. He was transported to the Grayson County jail.
Aggravated assault - On May 13, officers were dispatched to the 900 block of East Wells Avenue in reference to a welfare concern. Upon arrival, both involved parties stated they were assaulted by the other. One of the involved parties claimed he was threatened with a screwdriver. A report was generated for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
