Tip of the Week
Want to catch a big bass this weekend? Then look for lone trees, laydowns, rocks, and other forms of isolated cover that are situated away from the bank. Such spots can serve as “park bench” style resting places for largemouths as they journey away from the shallow water of the springtime spawn towards the deeper water, they’ll occupy for most of the summer months. Throw some sort of squarebill crankbait, a spinnerbait, a topwater, a Texas-rigged plastic worm, or a jig near such cover and you might catch the biggest bass of the season!
