Possession - On May 8, Sherman officers conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the 1800 block Texoma Pkwy. The investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle to be in possession of marijuana. A possession of marijuana under 2 ounces report was generated.
Possession - On May 8, officers conducted a traffic stop in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway. During the stop, officers were provided a false identity by a passenger who was wanted. He also had less than 2 ounces of marijuana in his possession. He was arrested and transported to the Grayson County jail.
Assault - On May 8, officers were dispatched to 2100 block of Texoma Parkway in reference to a disturbance. Officers arrived on scene and spoke with the victim who stated he and the suspect got into a verbal argument and the suspect slapped him on the face. No injuries were sustained and there were no witnesses to the incident. The suspect was arrested for an outstanding warrant. A report for assault was generated.
Possession of a controlled substance - On May 8, Sherman officers conducted a traffic stop with a vehicle in the 1800 block N. Loy Lake Rd. The investigation revealed the driver of the vehicle was in possession of illegal drugs. The suspect was placed under arrest and transported to Grayson County Jail. A possession of a controlled substance under one gram report, and a possession of a controlled substance under 28 ounces report were both generated.
Driving while intoxicated - On 05-09-2020 at 1934 hours, Sherman Police Department Dispatch received a call in reference to a minor accident at the 200 block of E Houston Street Sherman, Texas. The caller stated a vehicle had crashed into a pole. Sherman Police Department Patrol Officers were dispatched to the scene and identified the operator of the crashed vehicle. The suspect was found to be intoxicated at the time of the crash. The suspect had one previous conviction for driving while intoxicated. The suspect was charged with driving while intoxicated second offense.
Driving while intoxicated - On May 9, Sherman Dispatch received a 911 call in regards to a hit and run accident. Officers arrived on scene to find an adult female walking away while staggering. Officers conducted an investigation and made an arrest for Driving While Intoxicated. A report for driving while intoxicated was generated.
Public intoxication - May 9, Sherman Police Dispatch received a call in reference to a disturbance in the 200 block of E Canyon Grove Rd. The caller stated a white female spit at her and was arguing with her. Officers were dispatched to the scene and spoke with all involved parties. It was determined the white female suspect was intoxicated. She was arrested for Public Intoxication and a report was generated.
