Carrus Specialty and Rehabilitation Hospital, 1810 U.S. Highway 82, in Sherman is open for business, but not allowing visitors. Like most hospitals in the country right now, the facility is limiting visitors, due to concerns over the spread of the COVID-19 virus.

Carrus Health President Jon Raines said they have not had to lay off or furlough any employees during the pandemic. He said they have not had any COVID-19 patients to date.

Raines said the hospital continues to monitor the continually changing situation with COVID-19 and takes steps to make sure the staff and patients are protected.

Baylor, Scott and White Surgical Hospital announced Monday that it is still open and performing surgeries. The hospital is not performing elective surgeries at this time, and some employees have been furloughed due to the changing workload.
