Criminal trespass - On April 10, Sherman Police Department officers were dispatched to the 500 block of West Lamar Street in regards to a criminal trespass call. A female had walked into a business where she had been trespassed from in the past. Officers confirmed the trespass warning. She was arrested for criminal trespass.
Interfer with emergency call - On April 9, officers were dispatched to the Sherman Police Department lobby in reference to an Assault. During the investigation, it was learned an assault occurred at the victim’s residence. The victim reported having been choked by her husband and hit in the head. There were injuries consistent with the victim`s statement. The suspect was arrested for assault of a family or household member impeding breath or circulation and interfer with emergency request for assistance.
Stolen vehicle recovered - On April 10, Sherman officers arrived in the 800 block of East Houston Street in reference to suspicious activity. The investigation revealed a vehicle located was stolen out of Grayson County. The vehicle was towed and a recovered stolen vehicle report was generated.
Assault - On April 10, Sherman dispatch received a call in reference to a disturbance in the 1800 block Southridge Lane. A male and female were seen physically fighting in their residence. Officers were dispatched to the residence and made contact with a male and female. Officers learned the man and woman had a verbal altercation, which then became a physical altercation when the woman prevented the man from leaving. The woman was arrested for assault causes bodily injury family member and a report was generated.
Burglary - On April 11, officers were dispatched to the 500 block East Park Avenue in reference to a disturbance. Officers arrived and located a man in close proximity of the residence. Officers discovered the man had kicked in the door of the house, had stolen some food from the refrigerator and then left. The man had been previously trespassed from the property. The man was arrested for Burglary of a Habitation.
Theft - On April 11, Sherman dispatch received a call from a resident in the 1600 block of La Salle Drive. Sometime during the night, unknown suspect stole a vehicle. A report for of a motor vehicle between $750-2,500 was completed.
Driving while intoxicated - On April 4, Sherman officers responded to the 3700 block of South US Highway 75 in reference to minor accident. The driver was found to be intoxicated and was arrested for driving while intoxicated. She transported to the Grayson County Jail.
Driving while intoxicated - On April 12, Officers responded to the 4000 block of North US Highway 75 in reference to an intoxicated driver. Upon arrival, officers located the suspect in the driver’s seat of his gray vehicle. It was determined he was intoxicated and he was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Possession - On April 12, officers responded to a fight in progress in the 900 block of South Travis Street. During the investigation, officers located less than two ounces of marijuana inside an apartment. The marijuana was seized and a report was generated.
Criminal trespass - On April 12, the Sherman Police Department Dispatch received a call in reference to a criminal trespass in the 700 block of South Heritage Pkwy. The suspect left prior to officer’s arrival. A report was taken for criminal trespass.
