Burglary of a building — An officer responded to the 3200 block of Texoma Parkway on Feb. 25 in reference to a burglary at Cackle & Oink. The owner reported that a suspect forced entry into the business and attempted to obtain money. A report for burglary of a building was generated and the department’s investigation is ongoing.


Assault — On Feb. 25, Sherman Police dispatched an officer to a residence in the 300 block of N. Heritage Parkway in reference to an assault. The officer arrived on scene and spoke with the female victim, who reported herself five months pregnant. The victim reported that her boyfriend had physically assaulted her and then fled the scene. A report for assault of a pregnant person was generated.


Assault — On Feb. 25, Sherman Police responded to the 1800 block of N. Travis Street after notification of a possible road rage incident. Officers located a vehicle related to the call and determined the female driver to be intoxicated. During her arrest, the suspect kicked a police officer. She was ultimately arrested for driving while intoxicated and assault on a peace officer.


Harassment — Sherman Police responded to a residence in the 1300 block of N. Hopson Street on Feb. 25 in reference to a harassment complaint. The female complainant advised the she had received continual, harassing text messages from an individual who was previously advised not to make contact with the complainant. A report was filed for harassment.


Assault — On Feb. 25, A Sherman officer responded to Wilson N. Jones Regional Medical Center in reference to an assault report. The female victim advised that she was assaulted by her husband roughly six months ago, but was hospitalized for unrelated reasons. A report was generated for family violence assault.


Assault — Officers were dispatched to the 100 block of S. Elm Street on Feb. 25, in reference to an assault. Police arrived on scene and spoke with a female victim, who advised that a female suspect had pushed her, causing her to fall and hit her head. The suspect left the scene prior to officers’ arrival. A report was generated for assault causing bodily injury.


Assault — On Feb. 25, A Sherman officer was dispatched to the 1600 block of Texoma Parkway in response to an assault call. The officer made contact with a female complainant who advised that unknown male had shoved her at a nearby location. A report was filed for assault by contact.


Assault — Officers responded to a business in the 8000 block of S. U.S. Highway 75 on Feb. 25. Upon arrival, Sherman Police determined that a female subject had assaulted her husband. A report for family member assault by contact was filed.
