No one was hurt but multiple apartment units were destroyed after a fire swept through the Creekside Condominiums Friday night, Sherman Fire-Rescue officials said Monday.
Fire Chief Danny Jones said shortly after 11 p.m. crews were dispatched to the residential complex located in the 1200 block of Park Place in reference to 9-1-1 calls reporting a possible fire. Crews arrived on scene within 10 minutes of the first emergency calls and began evacuating apartment units.
No injuries were reported.
The flames were extinguished in under half an hour, but multiple units were either damaged or destroyed in the fire. Multiple tenants were displaced, but Jones said he did not have an exact figure Monday.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
