For Thanksgiving this year, many Oklahomans are forgoing the traditional holiday spent indoors, and opting instead to celebrate “Campsgiving” or “Glampsgiving” by spending quality time together in/near nature instead.

In fact, according to a recent report released by the outdoor experts at Hipcamp, Oklahoma has been named the No. 1 “Glampsgiving/Campsgiving” destination in the U.S. this holiday, based on percentage growth in bookings this Thanksgiving compared to last.

Hipcamp is the largest online marketplace in the U.S. where people can find and book “glampsites,” which are glamorous campsites such as cabins, yurts, canvas tents and airstreams, as well as traditional campsites on private land, such as farms, ranches and vineyards.

Following Oklahoma was Georgia, California, Arizona and upstate New York to round out the top five “Glampsgiving” destinations.
