Driving while intoxicated — Officers responded Oct. 13 to the call of a driver asleep at the drive-thru window of a restaurant in the 1100 block of South Austin. The male suspect was arrested for driving while intoxicated third or more offense.
Possession — An officer stopped a vehicle Oct. 11 for a traffic violation at U.S. Highway 75 and Crawford. The male driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Driving while license invalid — Officers responded Oct. 11 to the call of an accident at Spur 503 and Coffin. A male driver was arrested for driving while license invalid with previous conviction.
Parole violation/evading arrest — Officers responded Oct. 11 to a hospital in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 75 after receiving information that a wanted person was there. The male suspect was arrested for an outstanding parole violation warrant and for evading arrest or detention.
Credit/debit card abuse — A female complainant stated Oct. 13 someone obtained her debit card in the 1000 block of West Elm and made several unauthorized purchases. Officers are following up on leads.
Theft — A male complainant stated Oct. 14 a female had stayed with him a few days and then took his 2008 Nissan Altima, silver in color, without his permission. The investigation will continue.
Burglary of a vehicle — A resident observed several individuals Oct. 14 rummaging through a vehicle in the 600 block of Pershing Drive. He yelled at the people, and they fled the area. The owner of the vehicle stated nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle.
Assault — Officers responded Oct. 13 to a disturbance in the 800 block of East Jones. A female complainant stated she was offended by her husband’s unwanted contact during an argument. A report was generated for assault by contact.
Theft of property — A female complainant made telephone contact Oct. 14 with the public safety administrator regarding a theft. She stated her ex-boyfriend stole property from her in the 900 block of South Montgomery. A report was generated for theft of property from $100-$750.
Criminal mischief — A male complainant made telephone contact with the public safety administrator in reference to criminal mischief. He stated while his vehicle was parked in the parking lot of a business in the 400 block of North Highland Avenue, and unknown person scratched the side of his vehicle causing damage. A report was generated for criminal mischief from $750-$2,500.
Theft of property — A female complainant made telephone contact Oct. 14 with the public safety administrator regarding a theft. She stated she lost her wallet in the parking lot of a business in the 6100 block of North U.S. Highway 75. The wallet and contents were not returned to the owner. A theft of property from $100-$750 was filed.
Burglary of a vehicle — A male complainant made telephone contact Oct. 14 with the public safety administrator in reference to a theft. He stated an unknown suspect made entry into his vehicle in the driveway of a residence in the 800 block of South Lyon and stole property. A report was generated for burglary of a vehicle.
