Assault — Officers were dispatched Sept. 30 to the 900 block of Heritage Parkway in reference to a female in the area yelling, “Help me.” Upon investigation, it was determined an adult family member had been assaulted by a male suspect causing pain and visible injury. The suspect was placed under arrest for assault causing bodily injury/family member. The suspect then became resistant and had to be forcibly placed into a patrol car. He was charged additionally for resisting arrest, search and transport and taken to Grayson County Jail.


Assault — An officer responded Sept. 30 to the 100 block of South Elm in reference to an assault. The female victim advised the assault had actually occurred earlier in the 500 block of West Lamar. The suspect pulled the victim’s arm and caused her pain. A report for an assault causing bodily injury was completed.


Aggravated assault — Officers were dispatched Sept. 29 to the 1700 block of La Salle Drive in reference to a disturbance. Their investigation revealed a male suspect entered his ex-girlfriend’s house and caused a disturbance with two males. The suspect threatened to use physical force and displayed a deadly weapon. The suspect was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.


Violation of protective order — Officers responded Sept. 30 to a disturbance in the 1900 block of West Taylor. Upon arrival, they separated a male and female in an apartment. The investigation revealed the female had been in violation of an active protective order and was arrested and booked into the Grayson County Jail. A report was also completed for assault causing bodily injury/family member.


Evading arrest/detention — Officers responded Sept. 29 to a disturbance call in the 2400 block of Texoma Parkway. The male suspect was located. When outstanding warrants were revealed, he began to flee from the officers on foot. The suspect was apprehended and arrested on the charges of evading arrest with previous convictions and for the warrants.


Forgery — A female complainant made telephone contact Oct. 2 with the public safety administrator regarding fraud. She stated a female suspect forged a check and cashed it at a business located in the 700 block of East Peyton. A report was generated for forgery of a financial instrument.


Criminal trespass — An officer was dispatched Oct. 2 to a gas station in the 3000 block of North US Highway 75 in reference to criminal trespass. The reporting party advised a male was on the property that had a criminal warning for the property. The suspect was located and arrested.


Assault — Officers responded Oct. 2 to a disturbance in the 600 block of North Montgomery. Upon arrival, they spoke with both involved parties and an assault was later reported to the officers. The female victim did not have any visible injuries. A report was filed for assault causing bodily injury to a family member. No arrest was made.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers responded Oct. 11 to the report of an intoxicated driver in the 2900 block of North U.S. Highway 75. They located the vehicle and performed a traffic stop. The investigation revealed the female driver was intoxicated, and she was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Theft of property — An officer was dispatched Oct. 11 to the 5100 block of North Travis in reference to a stolen bicycle. Upon arrival, the officer’s investigation revealed an unknown person had cut a cable lock and stolen the bicycle. A report for theft of property from $100-$750 was completed.


Harassment — A female complainant entered the police department lobby on Oct. 11 to report her ex-husband was sending unwanted emails and repeatedly calling her. An investigation was conducted and a report for harassment was generated.


Theft of property — Officers were dispatched Oct. 11 to the 400 block of West U.S. Highway 82 in reference to a theft. The suspects were still on scene and had stolen more than $200 in merchandise. Further information was gathered, and a report was generated for theft of property from $100-750.
