The department heads that will be on site to answer questions winclude public works, code compliance, community development, police, fire, parks, library, utility billing, Main Street and employee services.
The city has had a lot of programs going on that have attracted public feedback including the proposed rental housing inspection changes to the city’s contemplative plan to consider outsourcing emergency services to a private firm and the city’s recent homeless services proclamation.
The city held a town hall meeting in June to receive feedback from the community stakeholders regarding the proposed rental inspection program. Amid public backlash to the proposal, the city formed a task force made up of citizens to provide input to the city for those issues.
Since that time the city has not held any public forums outside the monthly city council meetings. The city recently adopted its 2020 budget that went into effect Oct. 1 and set the tax rate for the coming year.
Now, city officials are seeking for additional feedback from the community.
