The Texas Workforce Commission issued the grant to provide job training for Texoma Medical Center at a check signing event that took place at Grayson College Thursday. The funds in the amount of $437,158 will provide specialized training to employees.


The grant will support training of 378 employees, and it will be divided between 315 new jobs along with 63 upgraded positions.


The funds will support a 12-month program that began June 2019 that will include a number of courses including nursing ethics, critical care essentials, pain management, patient safety, care for caregiver, trauma nurse core course, advanced cardiac life support and pediatric advanced life support.
