Two male suspects are being sought by Sherman Police after they allegedly assaulted a man and robbed him at gunpoint early Monday.

Sgt. Brett Mullen said officers responded to an apartment complex in the 2500 block of North Travis Street at approximately 12:30 a.m., after receiving a report of a robbery.

“The victim was sitting in his car in the parking lot of the complex and said he was approached by two males wearing ski masks,” Mullen said. “One pointed a shotgun at him and the other one reached into the car and punched him in the face. The suspects demanded that he give them his belongings. The victim gave them his cell phone and wallet, and at that point, the suspects then fled the scene in a black SUV.”

The victim sustained minor injuries and the incident remains under investigation. A physical description of the suspects was not immediate available Tuesday.

Those able to identify the persons involved or those with knowledge related to the investigation are asked to call the Sherman Police Department at 903-892-7290.
