This week, we are announcing a change in our distribution schedules. Beginning Oct. 1, the Herald Democrat will transition from printing six days a week to five days a week and will be delivered to your mailbox through the U.S. Postal Service.

Subscribers will receive their papers on Tuesdays through Fridays, plus a combined weekend edition on Saturday that will be inclusive of both the current Saturday and Sunday editions. Subscribers will still have unlimited access to, where we’ll continue to publish updates every day.

“Our company is no stranger to change,” Senior Group Publisher Nate Rodriguez said. “Change is necessary for any business and industry, especially one that is undergoing a total and complete transformation. The changes today have become necessary to stabilize and support our mission of bringing local news and journalism to our community. These changes were not made easily, and I would appreciate an open mind and ultimately earn the support of our loyal subscribers as we transition to a different stable delivery source and frequency model over the next 30 plus days.”

Please note, that with this change to print frequency, subscription rates and expiration dates will remain the same. Subscribers with questions, or those seeking cancellations or refunds, can call 903-893-8181 or email

Thank you for your continued loyalty and support of our brand of journalism – reliable, accurate and community-focused news.
