Sgt. Brett Mullen said officers responded to the One Stop and Go in the 500 block of S. Walnut Street at approximately 11 p.m. after the store's clerk called 911 dispatchers. The robbery was caught on video by the business's surveillance system.

“We learned a black male suspect, wearing all black, a face cover, and a yellow bandana or durag, entered the store and immediately pointed a handgun at the clerk,” Mullen said. “He then took the entire register drawer before running out of the store.”

The suspect fled the scene on foot and made off with only $50, Mullen said. If caught, the suspect faces a felony charge of aggravated robbery.

“You're risking a whole lot for a little bit of money there,” Mullen said.

The case remains under investigation and those able to identify the suspect, or those with knowledge of the incident, are asked to call the Sherman Police Department at 903-892-7290.
