Found property — Officers were dispatched on July 24 to the 1700 block of Oak Creek Drive in reference to found property. Upon arrival, they made contact with the female caller who stated she had found a purse while out walking. She advised the purse contained personal items including a birth certificate and social security number. A report was taken and the property was secured at the police department.
Driving while intoxicated — Officers were dispatched on July 23 to a major accident in the 6200 of North US Highway 75. Upon arrival, they observed that one of the parties involved exhibited multiple signs of intoxication. After an investigation, the male subject was determined to be intoxicated and was arrested.
Assault — An officer responded on July 23 to a disturbance involving child custody in the 2200 block of North Duke. The suspect assaulted the resident and made entry into the resident’s home without consent. A report for assault causing bodily injury and criminal trespass of a habitation were completed. The suspect left prior to officer arrival and was not located.
Theft of property — A female complainant made telephone contact on July 23 with the public safety administrator. She stated a known suspect stole property from her while at her residence in the 4800 block of Highgrove Drive. A report for theft of property from $100-$750 was generated.
Assault — Officers were dispatched on July 24 to the 4500 block of Texoma Parkway regarding a delayed assault. Upon arrival and investigation, it was determined the suspect had assaulted another male causing no injuries. The parties were separated for the night. A report was taken, and the case is under investigation.
Found property — An officer responded on July 24 to the call of found property in the 300 block of South Travis. The property was collected for safekeeping, and a report was taken.
Theft — A male victim stated on July 24 he was shopping at a store in the 400 block of North US Highway 75 and left his wallet in his shopping cart while talking with someone. A few minutes later, the wallet was missing. The wallet was located outside the store, but cash was missing from the wallet. The investigation will continue.
Theft — A male victim reported on July 25 an unknown suspect stole a weed eater and two bicycles from a storage unit behind his residence in the 600 block of West Hull. He advised he had seen a female riding one of the bicycles while he was out getting food for his kids. He was able to recover that bicycle. The investigation will continue.
Shoplifting — Store personnel stated on July 25 they detained a female for stealing items from a store in the 400 block of North US Highway 75. The suspect was arrested for outstanding Grayson County warrants, failure to identify/fugitive from justice and resisting arrest.
Theft — A male complainant reported on July 25 he saw a juvenile he doesn’t know take a bicycle from his yard and ride it away. He was able to get the bicycle back after finding it abandoned.
Assault — Officers responded on July 25 to the call of a physical disturbance in the 100 block of South Mirick. A female victim stated she and her live-in boyfriend got into an argument that turned physical. She advised as she was trying to leave their apartment, the suspect grabbed her by the throat and pushed her against the door to stop her from leaving. The male suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury/family violence/impeding breath.
