Failure to identify/fugitive/warrants — An officer stopped a vehicle July 21 for a traffic violation in the 3300 block of FM 120 West. The vehicle was reported stolen out of Calera, Oklahoma. The male driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and theft of property greater than $2,500. A female suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, failure to identify/fugitive from justice and outstanding city of Denison and Grayson County warrants.
Possession — Officers responded July 19 to the call of a suspicious person in the 300 block of West Main. The suspect was arrested for outstanding city of Denison warrants, possession of drug paraphernalia and possession of a controlled substance.
Warrants/evading arrest — An officer attempted to stop two bicycle riders July 20 in the 100 block of East Main for not having proper equipment on their bicycles for night riding. One male bike rider fled and was captured several blocks away. The suspect was arrested for evading arrest with previous convictions, and outstanding warrants from the city of Denison and Grayson County.
Driving while intoxicated — An officer responded July 20 to the report of an erratic driver in the 300 block of West Monterey. The vehicle was located and stopped, and the driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated 3rd or more.
Burglary of a habitation — An officer responded July 22 to the report of a burglary in the 600 block of South Andrews. An unknown person(s) had entered the home and taken property. A report for burglary of a habitation was generated. The investigation is ongoing.
Theft of property — A male complainant made telephone contact July 22 with the public safety administrator in reference to a theft. He stated an unknown suspect(s) stole property from the porch of a residence in the 700 block of Kessler Blvd. A report for theft from $100-$750 was filed.
Criminal mischief — Officers responded July 22 to a family disturbance in the 900 block of East Epstein. Upon arrival, they saw a family member of the victim breaking a window of the residence to gain entry. A report was generated for criminal mischief from $100-$750.
Driving while intoxicated — Officers were dispatched July 23 to a major accident in the 6200 of North US Highway 75. Upon arrival, they observed that one of the parties involved exhibited multiple signs of intoxication. After their investigation, the male subject was determined to be intoxicated. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
Assault — An officer responded July 23 to a disturbance involving child custody in the 2200 block of North Duke. The suspect assaulted the resident and made entry into the resident’s home without consent. A report for assault causing bodily injury and criminal trespass of a habitation were completed. The suspect left prior to officer arrival and was not located.
Theft of property — A female complainant made telephone contact July 23 with the public safety administrator. She stated a known suspect stole property from her while at her residence in the 4800 block of Highgrove Drive. A report for theft of property from $100-$750 was generated.
