A site got the approval from the Denison Planning and Zoning Commission Tuesday to make changes to a warehouse at 1910 MacGregor Street.

The request was for a zoning change to allow for the construction of an automotive and general warehouse on the property. Denison Planner Bill Medina, who presented the item to the commission, said the applicant had also submitted early renderings to the city and will return to planning and zoning at a later date to seek approval of the site plan.

“You can see the location to the east,” Medina said. “You will see there is a railroad track to the north just across the street. You actually have industrial properties to the north and some to the west. You have one single-family five property directly adjacent to it.”

He went on to clarify that industrial use is considered appropriate according to the city of Denison’s 2018 comprehensive plan.
