A Sherman man who reportedly served as a youth athletic coach has been arrested for the alleged sexual assault of a child in Brazos County last summer.
A search of Grayson County’s online jail records showed Keith Dequan Craddock, 31, was arrested by the Texas Department of Public Safety in Sherman on April 16. Craddock, whom KXII reported was a former coach of the Sherman Elite Track Club, was transferred to the Brazos County jail on April 18 and remains in custody on a $100,000 surety bond.
Sherman Police Sgt. Brett Mullen said the department was aware of Craddock’s arrest, but had no complaints on file accusing Craddock of sexual assault. The Brazos County District Attorney’s Office was not immediately available for comment Tuesday, but the county’s jail records indicated the alleged assault occurred on July 28, 2018.
A message left with the Sherman Elite Track Club’s last listed director was not returned Tuesday. A Facebook page for the club appeared to have been removed and a message sent to the club’s Instagram account was not returned on Tuesday.
The Sherman Independent School District said it had no affiliation with Craddock or the track club.
