Sherman Police


Burglary of a vehicle — A female complainant made contact April 15 with the public safety administrator to report a theft. She stated an unknown suspect(s) made entry into her unlocked vehicle parked at her residence in the 800 block of North Crestview Drive in Sherman and stole property. A report for burglary of a vehicle was generated.


Assault — Officers responded April 15 to a disturbance in the 1500 block of North Highland Avenue. When they arrived, the female suspect admitted starting a physical confrontation with the male victim. The victim corroborated the suspect’s account of the event and had obvious injuries. The suspect was arrested for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.


Possession — An officer was located April 15 for people in a park in the 2500 block of West Center Street. One of the subjects had less than two ounces of marijuana on her person. A report for possession of marijuana less than two ounces was filed.


Possession — A traffic stop was conducted April 16 in the 200 block of South Vaden Street. A male was riding his bicycle with no headlamp at night and on the wrong side of the public roadway. During the stop, the male consented to a search of his person. A small bag of methamphetamine was located in the front pocket of his pants. The male was placed under arrest for possession of a controlled substance less than one gram.


Burglary — A female complainant made telephone contact April 16 with the public safety administrator regarding a theft. She stated an unknown suspect(s) made entry into her unlocked vehicle parked near a residence in the 4900 block of Highgrove Drive in Sherman and stole property. A report for burglary of a vehicle was generated.


Reckless damage — A female complainant made telephone contact April 16 with the public safety administrator regarding criminal mischief. She stated the passenger side window on her vehicle was shattered while it was in the parking lot of a business in the 800 block of Gallagher Drive. A lawn care company was working in the area at the time. A report for reckless damage was filed.


Burglary of a building — Officers responded April 16 to the report of a burglary in the 4400 block of North Frisco Road. The victim stated their storage unit had been burglarized. Evidence on scene was collected and the investigation is ongoing.


Forgery — Officers were dispatched April 16 to a business in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway. One of the employees was given a counterfeit $20 bill as payment. Te counterfeit money was collected and a report for forgery government/national instrument/money/security was completed.


Theft of property — Officers responded April 16 to the report of a theft in the 4800 block of Texoma Parkway. They spoke with several witnesses and collected evidence on scene. The suspects were no longer on scene. The investigation is ongoing.


Assault — Officers responded April 17 to a disturbance in the 200 block of South Sam Rayburn Freeway. During their investigation, the victim claimed her boyfriend choked her approximately two weeks prior, impeding her breath. A report was filed for assault family/house member impede breath.


Theft of property — Officers were dispatched April 17 to the corner of South Vaden Street and East Cherry Street in reference to suspicious activity. Their investigation revealed that a small motorcycle had been stolen from a residence in the area and had been recovered. A theft of property report was generated.


Assault — Officers responded April 17 to a disturbance in the 200 block of Sam Rayburn Freeway. It was determined the suspect pushed her boyfriend during an argument. A report was filed for assault by contact family member.
