Denison Police

Theft of services — A complainant stated April 9 two customers received manicures and waxing services and then left the store without paying $120. Officers are following up on leads.

Fraud — A male victim stated April 6 an unknown suspect(s) fraudulently used his bank account information to withdraw money from his account.

Outstanding warrants — A vehicle was stopped April 6 for a traffic violation in the 1800 block of South Travis. The male driver was arrested for failure to change address/name on his driver’s license. His female passenger was arrested for an outstanding Collin County warrant and numerous city of Denison warrants.

Stolen vehicle — A female complainant reported April 7 a relative took her vehicle without permission and has not returned it. The vehicle is a 2000 Chevrolet Cavalier, white in color with Texas license plate KRD-5268.

Assault — A female victim stated April 7 she was assaulted by her boyfriend who pushed her head into the window of a vehicle causing her injury. The suspect was not on scene. A case will be presented to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.

Possession — A male bicycle rider was stopped April 8 in the 500 block of North Bennett for not having a white headlight while riding after dark. He was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.

Driving while intoxicated — Officers stopped a vehicle April 9 at Morgan and Bennett streets. The male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated, second offense.

Fraud — A female complainant reported April 10 that she gave her personal identifying information to someone she met on the internet. She later discovered four cellphone accounts had been opened using her information.

Sherman Police

Theft — An officer responded April 9 to the report of several vehicle burglaries in the 2300 block of North U.S. Highway 75. Upon investigation, it was learned that electronics had been stolen from five vehicles. A report was generated for theft of property from $2,500-$30,000. The investigation is ongoing.

Burglary of a vehicle — Dispatch received a 911 call April 10 reporting a robbery in progress in the 300 block of West McLain. One of the victims chased the suspect, but was unable to catch him. The area was searched and the suspect was located but ran on foot and was able to evade officers. A report was taken for burglary of a vehicle and evading arrest/detention.

Criminal mischief — An officer was dispatched April 10 to the 100 block of East Taylor in reference to criminal mischief. The victim advised an unknown suspect intentionally caused approximately $1,500 in damage to her vehicle in the parking lot. The suspect was located and admitted to causing the damage. A report was generated for criminal mischief from $750-$2,500.

Driving with invalid license — An officer stopped a vehicle April 10 in the 700 block of North Cleveland due to an equipment violation. During the course of the traffic stop, the officer discovered the driver did not have a valid driver’s license and had previous convictions for driving while license invalid. A report was generated for driving while license invalid with previous convictions.

Criminal trespass — An officer was patrolling April 10 in the 1100 block of Gallagher Drive when he observed a male inside an abandoned building. Officers made entry and located the male inside. It was discovered the male had been given a criminal trespass warning for that location approximately two months ago. The suspect was arrested for criminal trespass.
