Sherman Police said a missing woman was found safe Monday after not being seen or heard from for four days.
In an emailed press release distributed Sunday night, the department identified Sheila Denise Wilson, 61, of Sherman as a missing person. The release stated Wilson was last seen on April 10, but just hours after circulating her description and photo, the department said she had been located.
“After it was made public that she was missing, we received several phone calls from people who had seen her around town,” Sgt. Brett Mullen said. "Through these tips, we were able to learn of her whereabouts and were able to confirm that she was safe and no longer missing.”
Sherman Police declined to provide additional details about Wilson’s location, but described her absence as voluntary.
