Fraud — An officer was dispatched March 30 to the 300 block of South Heritage Parkway in reference to several forms of identification found in an apartment which had been recently vacated. The various forms of identification were collected by police and a report was generated for fraud, use or possession of identifying information, less than 5 items.
Assault — Officers responded March 29 to a disturbance in the 1200 block of South Vaden Street. Upon arrival, they spoke with all involved parties. While investigating the verbal altercation, one of the parties alleged an assault took place earlier in the week. A report for assault causing bodily injury to a family member was taken.
Theft of firearm — A firearm was reported stolen March 30 from the 4000 block of Lone Grove Way. No victims listed.
Driving while intoxicated — Officers conducted a traffic stop March 30 on a vehicle in the 1900 block of West Houston Street. The male driver admitted he had been drinking alcohol prior to driving his vehicle. There was also an open container of alcohol inside the vehicle. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated or open alcohol container.
Criminal trespass — Officers were dispatched March 30 to the 500 block of Scott Circle in reference to a suspicious person. Upon arrival, the officers found a vehicle had been broken into. However, nothing had been taken from the vehicle. A report for criminal trespass was taken.
Possession — Dispatch received a call March 30 reporting drug activity in the 3000 block of North Northridge Drive. The caller further stated the odor of marijuana was emitting from a vehicle. Officers arrived on scene when the vehicle was leaving the area. They stopped the vehicle and conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle. Marijuana was recovered from the vehicle, and a report for possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces was generated.
Found property — An officer was dispatched March 30 to a business in the 2200 block of North U.S. Highway 75. The manager had found property inside the store that had been dropped by a customer. The property was seized and a report for found property was completed.
Burglary of a vehicle — An officer was dispatched March 30 to the 1200 block of Tejas Drive in reference to the burglary of a vehicle. Upon arrival and investigation, it was determined an unknown suspect had made entry into the vehicle and stolen property. A report was taken and the case is under investigation.
Driving while intoxicated — An officer conducted a traffic stop March 31 in the 700 block of West Lamar Street. The male driver was unable to maintain a single lane of travel and exhibited additional driving behaviors common with intoxicated drivers. The officer administered the standardized field sobriety test, during which the driver exhibited more signs of intoxication. The driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated, and a report was generated.
Driving while intoxicated — A traffic was conducted March 31 in the 1800 block of East Leslie Lane. The male driver of the vehicle was suspected of being intoxicated. An investigation was conducted, and the driver was determined to be intoxicated. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated and a report was filed.
Public intoxication — Officers responded March 31 to the report of an intoxicated person in the 500 block of West Lamar Street. The subject was located asleep in his vehicle. After an investigation was conducted, he was arrested for public intoxication and transported to the Grayson County Jail.
Possession — Officers conducted a traffic stop March 31 in the 100 block of South Baker Park Drive. The driver consented to a search of the vehicle. A small amount of marijuana and a pill were located in the vehicle. A report will be filed for possession of marijuana less than two ounces will be filed for issuance of a warrant. The pill will be sent to a lab for confirmation of its compound.
Burglary of a building — An officer was dispatched March 31 to the 100 block of East Vietnam Veterans Parkway in reference to a burglary. The reporting party showed evidence that an unknown male reached across the counter and stole cash. A report for burglary of a building was completed, and the investigation is ongoing.
Indecent exposure — Officers responded March 31 to the report of a male exposing himself in the 1000 block of West Brockett Street. The female victim advised an unknown male drove by her while she was walking and exposed himself while inside his vehicle. A report for indecent exposure was generated, and the investigation is ongoing.
Theft of property — A female complainant made telephone contact April 1 with the public safety administrator in reference to a theft. She stated an unknown suspect stole the rims and tires from her vehicle which was parked in the 1200 block of South Travis Street. A report was generated for theft of property from $100-$750.
Criminal mischief — Officers responded April 1 to a disturbance in the 100 block of Wilson Avenue. Upon investigation, it was learned an ex-resident attempted to gain access to the homeowner’s vehicle, causing the door handle to break. The ex-resident had a criminal trespass warning in place for the property. The suspect fled prior to officer arrival. A report was generated for criminal mischief from $100-$750 and criminal trespass.
Burglary of a vehicle — A male complainant made telephone contact April 1 with the public safety administrator regarding a theft. He stated an unknown suspect made entry into his vehicle which was parked in the 1100 block of Bentbrook Lane and stole property. A report for burglary of a vehicle was filed.
Theft of property — A male reporting party made telephone contact April 1 with the public safety administrator to report a theft. He stated an unknown suspect stole property while at a park in the 1100 block of West Taylor Street.
Found property — Officers responded April 2 to the report of found property in the 500 block of West Lamar Street. They located a small amount of methamphetamine. A report for found property was generated.
Assault — Dispatch received a call April 3 from a resident reporting an assault in the 300 block of Chisholm Trail. The victim stated her ex-boyfriend pulled her from her car and caused her head to hit the door. A report was generated for assault causing bodily injury to a family member.
Driving while intoxicated — Dispatch received a call April 4 reporting two intoxicated individuals at a business in the 100 block of West FM 1417. Officers were dispatched and upon arrival, found the suspects attempting to drive away. The female driver of the vehicle was found to be intoxicated while operating a motor vehicle. She was arrested for driving while intoxicated.
