Denison Police


Criminal mischief — A male victim reported March 30 his wife damaged his vehicle in the 1500 block of South Austin in several places with a crow bar after confronting him about some relationship problems. The investigation will continue.


Theft/burglary — A male victim stated April 1 an unknown suspect(s) stole his 1018 Dodge pickup, black in color with Texas license plate LPT-9300. A neighbor also reported their vehicle was entered and sunglasses, clothes and a checkbook were taken. Officers will be following up on leads.


Burglary of a vehicle — A complainant stated March 29 a suspect(s) stole a tool kit from inside an unsecured pickup truck in the 1500 block of South Austin.


Disturbance — Officers responded March 30 to a call about a man being intoxicated in the 2200 block of Brenda and causing a disturbance. The male suspect was located and arrested for public intoxication and resisting arrest/search/transport.


Assault — A female victim stated March 31 she was trying to get her keys back from a friend in the 200 block of East Texas when the friend punched her in the face causing her to hit her vehicle and fall to the ground. The suspect then left the scene. A case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.


Assault — A male victim reported March 31 he was assaulted by a juvenile relative in the 100 block of East Munson who punched him in the face. The juvenile then left the residence. A case will be forwarded to the Grayson County Juvenile Probation Department.


Sherman Police


Possession — Officers initiated a traffic stop March 29 in the 600 block of East Lamberth Road. There was no insurance on the vehicle. Officers conducted a probable cause search on the vehicle and located contraband. Reports were filed for driving while license suspended with previous conviction/suspension without financial responsibility, possession of marijuana less than two ounces and possession of a controlled substance less than one gram.


Driving while license invalid — Officers conducted a traffic stop March 29 in the 2700 block of Dripping Springs Road. The male driver did not have liability insurance and his license was invalid with previous convictions. A citation was issued for no liability insurance and a report was completed for driving while license invalid with a previous conviction.


Criminal mischief — A male reporting party made telephone contact March 29 with the public safety administrator regarding criminal mischief. He stated an unknown suspect(s) broke the front door of a business located in the 1700 block of East Lamar Street. A report for criminal mischief from $100-$750 was generated.


Burglary of a vehicle — A male complainant made contact March 29 with the public safety administrator regarding theft and fraud. He stated an unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle parked at his residence in the 4900 block of Camp Verde Circle and stole property. Unauthorized charges were made on his credit card. A report for burglary of a vehicle was generated.


Theft of property — A male complainant made telephone contact March 29 with the public safety administrator in reference to a theft. He reported an unknown suspect(s) stole his cellphone at a business located in the 2200 block of East Lamar Street. A report for theft of property from $750-$2,500 was generated.


Found property — Dispatch was informed March 29 of possible drugs located in a parking lot in the 3200 block of North U.S. Highway 75. There was a clear baggie located with a crystal-like substance inside the baggie. The substance was tested for methamphetamine and was seized.


Found property — A citizen reported March 29 the finding of a bag of marijuana in their front yard in the 1500 block of Yarborough. A report for found property was filed, and the marijuana will be destroyed.


Criminal trespass — An officer was dispatched March 29 in reference to criminal trespass. A female victim advised her neighbor entered her house without permission and began to yell at her about a parking spot. The suspect advised he did walk to the victim’s house to talk to her about a parking spot, but did not enter her residence or yell at her. A report for criminal trespass was generated.


Assault — Dispatch received a call March 29 from a resident in the 500 block of North Andrews Street. The female victim stated she was assaulted by her ex-boyfriend’s wife. The victim stated the suspect entered her home and engaged in a verbal argument and then pushed her. A report for assault causing bodily injury was completed.
