The Denison City Council will consider applying for a funding grant through the National Parks Service for historic revitalization when it meets at 6 p.m. Monday at Denison City Hall.

The grant program is used to support historic preservation projects and will be used in downtown Denison. The funding will be used to supplement existing facade grants and economic development incentives and will not involve additional city funding.

Other items that will be considered include:

• a national safe place proclamation; and

• approval of the Summer DREAM Camp program and its associated costs of staff salaries and expenses.

In a closed, executive session, the council will discuss the following items before reconvening in open session to take any necessary action:

• pending litigation regarding 715 W. Sears; and

• pending litigation regarding Strategic Fundraising Solutions.
