Warrants — An officer observed a man crossing the roadway March 6 without using the crosswalk. The subject was arrested for crossing at a point other than crosswalk, an outstanding Fannin County warrant and failure to identify/fugitive from justice.
Public intoxication — Officers responded March 2 to the call of an intoxicated person at a hospital in the 5000 block of U.S. Highway 75 South. They located the female suspect and she was arrested for public intoxication.
Public intoxication — An officer on patrol March 2 observed a male attempting to wave cars down in the roadway at Woodlawn and Frank Circle. The suspect was arrested for public intoxication.
Public intoxication — Officers responded March 2 to the call of a female urinating in public. She was arrested for urinating in a public place and public intoxication.
Assault — A victim and witnesses stated March 2 that the victim was assaulted by a relative by being pushed down, struck with a fist, thrown across the yard, kicked and placed in a bear hug. The relative left the scene prior to officer’s arrival. A case will be forwarded to the Grayson County District Attorney’s Office.
Unauthorized use of vehicle — A male victim stated March 3 he started his vehicle in the 1100 block of West Johnson and left it running to warm up and someone drove off in it. The vehicle was located in the 700 block of North Chandler. The investigation will continue.
Criminal mischief — A complainant stated March 3 the front door glass window was broken out of a business in the 300 block of West Crawford.
Theft/possession — A female complainant stated March 2 someone took her debit card without permission from the 2100 block of West Bond and used it at a local store. The female suspect was located and arrested for possession of a controlled substance.
Theft — Store personnel stated March 3 a female left the store without paying for merchandise she had selected. The suspect fled in a silver colored Mazda bearing a Texas license plate JNM-8578. The investigation will continue.
Assault on public servant — Officers responded March 4 to the call of a disturbance in the 1600 block of South Austin. A female suspect was arrested for public intoxication and assault on a public servant.
Possession — An officer stopped a vehicle March 5 for a traffic violation in the intersection of U.S. Highway 75 and Randall Lake Road. A male and female were arrested for possession of a controlled substance over four grams.
Burglary of a habitation — A male complainant stated March 6 he was awakened by a noise inside his residence in the 2100 block of West Bond. He found three males attempting to steal his television. When the males saw the complainant, they dropped the television and ran. The complainant advised his Ford pickup, blue and silver in color, was also taken from his residence. The investigation will continue.
Theft — A victim stated March 6 an unknown suspect(s) stole a utility trailer with furniture in it from the 2000 block of South Austin.
Driving while intoxicated — A vehicle was stopped March 3 for driving the wrong way in the 1200 block of East Lamar. The male driver of the vehicle exhibited multiple signs of intoxication. An officer performed the standardized field sobriety tests and the driver exhibited more signs of intoxication. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated and a report for the offense was generated.
Theft — Officers were dispatched March 1 to a store in the 4100 block of Town Center in response a reported theft. They spoke with the caller who advised a suspect stole merchandise from the store. A report for theft was generated.
Possession — Officers conducted a traffic stop March 3 in the 1600 block of East Lamar. During the stop, they detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and conducted a probable cause search of the vehicle. They located less than two ounces of marijuana. A report was generated and will be filed for the issuance of a warrant.
Burglary of a vehicle — A female complainant made contact March 4 with the public safety administrator to report a theft. She stated an unknown suspect(s) made entry into her vehicle while it was parked at her residence in the 600 block of South Contemporary Drive and stole property. A report for burglary of a vehicle was generated.
Driving while intoxicated — An officer conducted a traffic stop March 5 in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway. The male driver of the vehicle admitted to drinking prior to the contact and exhibited multiple signs of intoxication. An officer performed standardized field sobriety tests and the driver exhibited more signs of intoxication. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, and a report for the offense was generated.
