Sherman Police are searching for a male suspect wanted in connection with the robbery of Texas Star Bank Wednesday afternoon.
In an emailed press release, the department said at approximately 1:35 p.m., officers received an alarm call from the bank, located in the 500 block of South U.S. Highway 75. Officers responded and determined that the bank had been robbed. No injuries were reported and it was unclear whether the suspect used a weapon.
“The suspect entered the bank and demanded money from the bank employees,” the release read. “Upon obtaining the money, the suspect left the bank on foot. “
The release said investigators were still working to determine the amount of money taken in the robbery. The suspect is described as a black male standing six feet and having shoulder-length dreadlocks. He was last seen wearing a red shirt, black pants and red shoes.
