Denison municipal courts and utility billing will be briefly unavailable Friday morning as the city conducts software upgrades to its computer systems. During this time, the city will be unable to accept credit or debit cards for utility or court payments.

The upgrade is scheduled to take place between 8 a.m. and noon, with payment services expected to be restored by 1 p.m., officials said this week.

While city clerks will not be able to process credit or debit payments, check and cash payments will be accepted for utility payments, with staff providing manual receipts. However, account information will be inaccessible, so residents will need to provide a current bill, or other documentation in order to make a payment.

Likewise, the municipal court office will be unable to look up case information, and will be unable to accept payment during this time.
