Denison Police


Driving while intoxicated — Officers were dispatched Nov. 29 to the 2500 block of Juanita Drive in reference to a vehicle that had driven through a chain link fence. The male suspect had taken the vehicle without permission prior to the crash. He was arrested for driving while intoxicated, second offense, reckless damage and unauthorized use of a vehicle.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers responded Nov. 29 to the call of two vehicles being involved in a crash in the 6800 block of U.S. Hwy. 75. A female driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Improper turn — A vehicle was stopped Nov. 29 for a traffic violation at the intersection of Austin and Chestnut. The male driver was arrested for an improper turn.


Theft — Officers were dispatched Nov. 29 to a store in the 200 block of South Armstrong. Store personnel reported a male entered the store and removed a pair of earbuds from their box and placed them in his pocket. The suspect then left the store without paying for the merchandise. The investigation will continue.


Driving while intoxicated — While assisting with traffic control Nov. 29 at a vehicle crash at the intersection of U.S. Highway 75 and F.M. 120, a vehicle disregarded the emergency lights and drove across lanes to to go around the officer’s vehicle. The vehicle was stopped and the male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated.


Burglary of a habitation — A victim stated Nov. 29 that an unknown suspect(s) entered their residence by kicking open the door. Nothing has been determined as missing.


Assault — A male victim stated Nov. 29 that he and another male got into a verbal altercation in the 400 block of West Hull and the suspect punched him in the nose, causing bleeding. The suspect left the scene prior to officer arrival. The investigation will continue.


Theft — Store personnel stated Nov. 30 that a male and female entered a store in the 400 block of North U.S. Hwy. 75 and changed barcodes on some merchandise with less expensive items. The suspects then left the last point of sale with some other merchandise. The suspects were arrested for theft over $100.


Burglary of a vehicle — A male victim stated Dec. 1 that an unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle in the 300 block of Frances and took a purse. The victims later checked their credit/debit card and found a debit card and credit card had been used fraudulently locally. The investigation will continue.


Burglary of a vehicle — Officers were dispatched Dec. 2 to the 200 block of West Hull in reference to the burglary of a vehicle. The male victim stated an unknown suspect(s) entered his unlocked vehicle and took a blue and white bag containing clothes and cash.


Possession — A vehicle was stopped Dec. 2 for a traffic violation in the 500 block of North Tone. The male driver was arrested for possession of a controlled substance and drug paraphernalia.


Possession — An officer stopped a vehicle Dec. 3 for a traffic violation in the 300 block of East Shepherd. A female suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance, two counts. Another female suspect was arrested for possession of a controlled substance.


Theft — A male victim stated Dec. 3 that someone stole his 22-24 foot travel trailer from the 400 block of West Coffin. It is white in color with Texas license plate 5HW-762.


Theft — Officers were dispatched Dec. 3 to a store in the 100 block of East Hwy. 69. Store personnel stated that a male suspect entered the store, concealed merchandise and then left the store without paying. When the suspect saw an officer entering the store, he turned and went back into the store. The suspect was arrested for theft of property less than $2,500, two or more convictions.


Sherman Police


Aggravated robbery — Dispatch received a call Nov. 28 in reference to a robbery in the 1400 block of South Sam Rayburn Freeway. Upon arrival, officers were unable to locate the suspects or identify the suspects. Sherman Police CID arrived and conducted an investigation. The investigation is ongoing.


Theft — A male complainant made contact Nov. 27 with the public safety administrator in reference to a theft occurring at a business in the 2800 block of North U.S. Highway 75. A report for theft of property from $100-$750 was generated.


Burglary of a vehicle — A female complainant made telephone contact Nov. 28 with the public safety administrator regarding a theft at a residence in the 1600 block of East King. A report was generated for burglary of a vehicle.


Assault — Officers were dispatched Nov. 28 to the 2300 block of West Taylor in reference to an assault. Upon their arrival, it was learned that a male suspect had assaulted his girlfriend and tried to keep her from calling 911. The suspect was arrested for assault by contact/family violence and interference with an emergency call.
