Sherman Police


Assault with deadly weapon — Officers responded Oct. 13 to the report of a fight in progress in the 1800 block of Park Place. The victim advised that she was attacked by a female suspect armed with a baseball bat. The suspect was arrested and a report for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon was generated.


Driving while intoxicated — Officers conducted a traffic stop on Oct 13 in the 300 block of North Maxey. The driver showed signs of intoxication and was arrested for driving while intoxicated 2nd. He was transported to the Grayson County Jail.


Criminal mischief — Officers were dispatched Oct. 13 to the 400 block of East U.S. Highway 82 in reference to an incident of criminal mischief. Upon arrival, they spoke with the victim who claimed his vehicle had been vandalized (keyed). A report for criminal mischief from $100-750 was completed.


Driving while intoxicated — Dispatch received a call Oct. 14 about an intoxicated driver. Officers located the vehicle in the 6400 block of U.S. Highway 75 southbound. The male driver was arrested for driving while intoxicated 2nd.


Burglary of a vehicle — The public safety administrator made telephone contact Oct. 15 with a female complainant in reference to a burglary. The victim stated that a suspect entered her vehicle in the 1800 block of Texoma Parkway and damaged property. A report was generated for burglary of a vehicle.


Criminal mischief — The public safety administrator made contact Oct. 15 with a female complainant in reference to criminal mischief. The victim stated that a suspect damaged her vehicle while it was parked in the 2100 block of Texoma Parkway. A report for criminal mischief was generated.


Assault — Dispatch received a call Oct. 15 from a female in the 1300 block of North Harrison. She stated that she had just been assaulted by her husband and that he had just left on foot. She added that while she was trying to call 911 he had taken her phone from her. A report was filed for assault causing bodily injury to a family and interference with an emergency phone call.


Possession — While officers were patrolling the 2000 block of Loy Lake Road October 15, they observed a male slumped over a retaining wall looking at the ground. They made contact with the male and discovered that he had outstanding warrants. While searching his person, a methamphetamine pipe was located which tested positive for methamphetamine. The male was arrested for his warrants and for possession of methamphetamine.


Denison Police


Outstanding warrants — A vehicle was stopped Oct. 27 for a traffic violation in the 800 block of West Main. A male suspect was arrested for two outstanding Grayson County warrants.


Driving while license invalid — A vehicle was stopped Oct. 27 for a traffic violation in the 500 block of South Crockett. The male driver was arrested for driving while license invalid.


Burglary of a vehicle — A male victim stated Oct. 28 that an unknown suspect entered his unlocked vehicle in the 100 block of East Texas and took a backpack, impact drill, hand tools and money.


Driving without a license — A vehicle was stopped Oct. 28 for a traffic violation at Morton and Armstrong. The female driver was arrested for having no license.


Burglary of a habitation — A female victim stated Oct. 28 that someone entered her residence through a window in the 600 block of West Gandy and removed cash, a wallet and some prescriptions. Officers will be following up on leads.


Assault — A male victim stated Oct. 28 that he was assaulted causing him to fall to the ground, by a male he knows in the 400 block of North U.S. Highway 75. The case will be referred to municipal court.


Theft — A female victim stated Oct. 29 that an unknown suspect(s) stole her cell phone while she was at work in the 1600 block of West Bond. Officers will be following up on leads.


Theft — A complainant stated Oct. 29 that someone stole money from the deposits of a local restaurant. Officers will be following up on leads.


Possession — An officer observed a female who was acting suspiciously Oct. 30 inside a convenience store in the 3300 block of FM 1120. The suspect was arrested for outstanding Grayson County warrants, possession of marijuana less than 2 ounces and prohibited in a correctional facility.


Criminal mischief — A complainant stated Oct. 31 that a vehicle drove away from a gas pump with the nozzle still inside the fuel tank, causing damage to the pump. Officers will be following up on leads.


Theft of cargo — Officers were dispatched Oct. 16 to a business in the 100 block of Ken Drive in reference to a theft. Their investigation revealed that an unknown suspect entered a parked commercial trailer and stole cargo. A report was generated for theft of cargo and the investigation is ongoing.


Stolen vehicle recovery — Officers were dispatched Oct. 16 in reference to an abandoned vehicle parked on a parking lot in the 200 block of Texoma Parkway. From their investigation, they learned that the vehicle was stolen from Dallas. The vehicle was towed and the Dallas Police Department was notified.
