The Texas Department of Transportation is alerting motorists in Grayson County and Fannin County to weekly projects that may result in road closures, traffic pattern changes and possible delays.


“Motorists are advised to remain alert and pay special attention to all signs, barricades and traffic controls, and reduce their speed as they approach and travel through work zones,” the agency said in an emailed release. “They should also avoid distractions such as cellphones, eating, drinking, or car audio or navigation systems.”


Project schedules may be affected by weather conditions or equipment issues and are subject to change.


Grayson County


On FM 1417, between FM 691 and U.S. Highway 82, motorists should be prepared for traffic pattern changes and slow-moving vehicles as workers widen the roadway.


On U.S. Highway 75, from the Grayson-Collin county line to the Texas-Oklahoma state border, drivers are encouraged to be aware of debris pick-up crews operating during daytime hours on Wednesday and Friday


The southbound exit for Crawford Street on Hwy. 75 in Denison is closed as crews use the freeway ramp move building materials and construct a retaining wall. Motorists who wish to use the Crawford Street exit must use the FM 120/Morton Street exit. Shoulder closures and lane shifts are possible in the southbound lanes of Hwy. 75 between Crawford Street and FM 120.


On State Highway 11, between U.S. Highway 69 and State Highway 121, drivers may encounter traffic pattern changes and one-lane closures as crews work to repair and widen the freeway.


Curb ramps will be installed at various locations throughout the county and may result in shoulder and lane closures


Fannin County


On Hwy. 82, from Hwy. 121 to the Lamar County line, motorists may encounter slow-moving construction equipment as crews work to widen the roadway. Motorists who travel along FM 100 are also advised of possible lane closures as crews work to build a new bridge on Hwy. 82 which will span FM 100.


Drivers may encounter one-lane closures on FM 1752 between Hwy. 82 and FM 898 as crews widen the roadway.


On FM 816, from the Fannin-Hunt county line to State Highway 78, and on Recreation Road 3, from on FM 816, from FM 273 and eastward for two miles, temporary lane closures may be established as workers install safety treatments.


The bridged section of CR 4526, spanning from the tributary area to Bois D’arc Creek is closed while crews replace the bridge structure.


On Hwy. 11, between Hwy. 69 and Hwy. 121, drivers may encounter traffic pattern changes and one-lane closures as crews work to repair and widen the freeway.


Temporary shoulder and one-lane closures may be established on State Highway 56 in Honey Grove as workers install new curb ramps.
