Bonham Independent School District has named Kelly Trompler interim superintendent beginning Dec. 20. She will fill the shoes of Superintendent Marvin Beaty who is retiring at the end of the semester.

“As Trompler takes on her new role she aims to continue her goals of improving student achievement and ensuring that Bonham ISD places a ‘Life-Changer’ in every classroom,” the district said in a news release.

Trompler is a Bonham native and Bonham High School graduate. She received her bachelor’s degree in interdisciplinary studies from East Texas State University in Commerce and continued her education at Southeastern Oklahoma State University by receiving her master’s degree in educational administration.

Trompler has been an employee for Bonham ISD since receiving her bachelor’s in 1994. She began as a teacher in the classroom, served as an Instructional Technologist from August 2001 to June 2008. In July 2008 Trompler held an assistant principal position at Finley-Oates until June 2010. In July of the same year, she became the elementary curriculum and federal programs director until October 2012 when she became the assistant superintendent of administrative services for Bonham ISD.

“Bonham ISD is excited to be under the leadership of Mrs. Trompler as we continue to prepare for the future and strive for excellence,” the release says.
